How Can Severe Hair Loss And Seborrheic Dermatitis Be Treated?

I have seborrheic dermatatis from last 2-3 years. I have visited 3 doctors in this time. But i have not got rid of it. Now i am using topisal 3% lotion twice a week at night and next morning i wash it with protar lotion and then i apply normal conditioner . The treatment works but i have to do it constantly. Is this a good way to get rid of seborrheic dermatatis temporary for 2-3 days. But now i am losing my hair also. There is severe hairfall now. So what should i do except taking vitamins or other tablets. Please suggest..

Hello

Thank you for trusting HCM

Dear seborrheic dermatitis is a papulosquamous disorder patterned on the sebum-rich areas of the scalp, face, and trunk (see the image below).

Treatment depends on stage of the disease and severity of the disease.

Application anti dandruff cream with topical steroids may helpful. Topical antifungal agents may be useful. Before starting the treatment you need to confirm it by skin biopsy. other differential diagnosis are psoriasis , fungal infection etc..

Please consult your dermatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care.
