How Can Severe Edema Be Treated?

I take 1 to 4 furosemid daily just to treat my severe edema or to just be able to utinate normally. Because of the national shortage, would you recommend a different script that works as or better until supply returns to normal? Never mind. Cost too much.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If edema persists even with 4 tablets of furosemid than you need intravenous treatment that is not given ambulatory. You need to see a physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
