Hello.My name is dr.Dorina gurabardhi.
Tips to treat cough are:
-Stay Hydrated. Your cough may be caused by an upper respiratory tract infection like a cold or flu.
-Try hot drinks. Try a menthol cough drop
-Take Steamy Showers, and Use a Humidifier.
-Remove Irritants From the Air.
-Take medications to treat coughs.
If your cough is likely due to bacteria, you should take oral antibiotics. You’ll usually need to take the medication for a week to fully cure the cough. You should take expectorant cough syrups, such as bisolvon or viscoflu.
Another treatment are cough suppressants that contain codeine.
If the cough continue you should do an x-ray and blood tests.
Hope my answer helped you.Thanks!
