How Can Severe Anxiety And OCD Be Treated?

I would like to get a Vyvance Rx on line. I have anxiety and am extremely OCD. I m too high strung to even go to a movie with my husband. I was prescribed Xanax back in 1999 but it only helps a little. I take the lowest dose but can t take more because it makes me sleepy. I wish I could just sit down and rest! And sleeping? I don t sleep a whole lot. When I lay down, my brain won t shut off! Please help. I m just back to work after being out for a shoulder injury and surgery for 8 months! I have no PTO time to take. The symptoms you are experiencing and describing do not really indicate the need for Vyvance which is indicated primarily in ADHD and Binge eating disorder.
Yes you may be suffering from OCD and anxiety, and the Vyvance could actually make the insomnia and "thoughts not shutting down" worse as it a stimulant. It also has the added caution of being addictive, and due to the history that you give of OCD, it is also not a good drug to use.
The treatment for anxiety and OCD is an antidepressant for long term use and short term benzodiazepines. The bento's may then also aid in sleeping.
It is worthwhile to read up on sleep hygiene and try and do some of those principles.
