Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There is no cure for Rheumatoid arthritis. However, its remission (control of the symptoms) can be achieved, if treatment begins early with strong medications known as Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) like Sazo (Sulfasalazine).

Sazo drug can slow the progression of Spondyloarthritis and save the joints and other tissues
from permanent damage. Its common side effects include skin rash, stomach upset, hemolytic anemia, liver injury, bone marrow suppression, hemolytic anemia, and severe lung infections.

So, during the course of treatment, you need to be closely monitored by your doctor for the expected side effects as listed above. Sazo drug is not a steroid but a DMARD as mentioned above.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
