Hello,

Your four-year son is advised not to touch, scratch or pick the scars. He is advised to apply over-the-counter (OTC) scar removal creams like Mederma (for old and new) scars on the affected area. Scar removal creams help prevent formation of scars and reduce their appearance. Get your son clinically examined by a dermatologist so that deep, pitted sunken scars can also be treated. Depending on the scars, the dermatologist can recommend other treatment methods and therapies.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
