General & Family Physician 's  Response
Typhoid fever is a bacterial infection caused by salmonella typhi. It is very resistant kind of fever. As you has been using ciprofloxacin and its effects are not seen. It is probable that the bacterium has become resistant to ciprofloxacin. There are other antibiotics used for resistant cases.
Advice
1.     Hospitalization
2.     Complete bed rest
3.     Ceftriaxone 1 grams twice daily intravenously for 14 days
4.     Paracetamol 500 mg if fever occurs
5.     Drink plenty of fluids to keep hydrated
6.     Investigations – Widal test, blood culture for salmonella typhi, CBC, Hb%
Thanks
