How Can Recurrent Polypoids In The Right Ear Be Treated?

My daughter aged 12 yrs has been detected with polypoids in her right ear...I have consulted the ENT who has prescribed some medication for the same, but also said we might have to undergo a minor surgery for the same ...Please advise is the surgery necessary, can t it be healed with medicines....?Also how serious or harmful is the polypoidal growth..is it recurring??

Hello,

Polypoidal growth may be due to infection or benign mass.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

If it is Infectious cause it may recover soon. In case of benign lesions may need to be treated surgically.

Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
