HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The headaches, since they can last for days, sound like migraines which can be very severe and bothersome.

When a migraine occurs, a person is given medication to stop the headache.

For persons who have frequent migraines or severe migraines, there are medications that can reduce the number of headaches that occur.
These are called prophylactic medications and include meds such as topamax and propanolol.

She should speak to her doctor about this option

I hope this helps
