How Can Recurrent Ear Infection Be Treated?

I have had a on and off ear infection for approximately 4 months now. I ve been on 3 different types of antibiotics, steroid shot and ear drops and washed out and it may stop hurting for a couple days then it starts back. I m to the point I do not know what else to do. Any information would be helpful. I have just been going to my local doctor or clinic.
