How Can Recurrent UTI Be Treated?

Hi doc! I am 19 yrs old and for the past consecutive 2 months, I am having UTI after my monthly cycle. It goes away after I take antibiotics. Pls advise for any precautions I need to do cause I don't want to encounter such again nor get antibiotics for this coming month. I still maintain same hygiene as in the previous months and years of which I don't encounter UTI.
Thank you so much and best regards!

Hello

Local hygiene should be at priority.
Drink a plenty of fluids.
Administration of Vitamin C also helps. Take citrus fruits.
Cranberry juice helps to keep UTI at bay.
Cut Bladder Irritants From Your Diet - When you have a UTI, caffeine, alcohol, spicy food, nicotine, carbonated drinks, and artificial sweeteners can irritate your bladder.
Change to Healthier Habits

Lifestyle changes matter because they can help you recover from a UTI and might prevent another infection.

Quit smoking
Wear loose cotton clothing and underwear
Wipe yourself clean from front to back
Choose only fragrance-free personal hygiene products

Thanks
