Hello,

You have got a red rash on your legs and ankle. It is swollen and there is mild pain. Your symptoms are indicative of heat rash. Take care of your hygiene, take regular bath and maintain your body temperature towards the cooler side. It can also be due to allergy, stay away from animal dander, dust, dirt, fumes, paint, smoke, poison ivy, etc. To get relief you can apply hydrocortisone ointment on the area affected. Do not touch, scratch (scratching triggers pain) or pop.

To get rid of pain and soreness (swelling) you can take acetaminophen, one SOS when required. Take antihistamine, one at bed time, to reduce symptoms of allergy. Prefer to take vegetarian food over non veg food. Prefer to take home made food cooked in appropriate amount of oil over packaged food or oily food. Take fruits, berries and yogurt. To keep liver fit you can take natural food that serves a sliver tonic like papayas (raw and ripe), sugarcane juice, grapefruit, blueberries, grapes, cranberry, beetroot juice olive oil and boiled food for a couple of days. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
