How Can Pregnancy Be Confirmed?

On April 29th 2017 I tested positive for pregnancy however a week later I started bleeding heavily with big clots thinking for sure I had miscarried. It s been six days since that bleed and I m still testing positive even on a digital test. I m still bleeding lightly here and there and my symptoms have gotten stronger. Did I miscarry or am I still pregnant. Also I got pregnant 2 months after a still birth

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This test can be positive even after abortion for few days. To confirm it you need to have a sonography to check for any fetal activity. If there is no fetal movement/cardiac activity then it is a miscarriage.

I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ramchandra Lamba
