How Can Pneumonia Be Treated?

My co worker has been diagnosed with pneumonia on her right side - is not alleviated by a z pak, naproxen, has productive cough x 1 month, pain on inspiration, low o2 sats, now discomfort has moved to low back r side from upper right side under axilla; has slightly altered LOC, pulse 115, bp unknown, now exhibiting rhonchi, labs say no bacterial infection, SOB, discharged from ER last week and told to tough it out .

pain on inspiration, low o2 SATs, pain in rt side of chest indicate development of abscess,it also explains high pulse rate.
in my opinion-
the patient should undergo Ncct scan- chest( radiological investigation) to rule out lung abscess.
if CT confirms abscess it should be drained.
