How Can Persistent Cough And Acid Reflux Be Treated When X-ray Shows Pleural Thickening?
I m a 66 year old former smoker who tested positive in 2008 for TB I was positive again in 2011. I had a recent chest X-ray which showed pleural thickening. A ct scan showed mild biapical fibrocalcific scarring. Also stable small calcified granulomas. My doctor said I m fine. My father died from cancer of the pleura in 1978. Now known as mesiothelioma. In 2001 I had a weird pneumonia with pleurisy. My lungs cleared up and were perfect until last year. I have been coughing for 6 months probably from acid reflex but sometimes can t catch my breathe. My chest feels heavy and I m have been where I fractured rib s 4 and 5 that healed deformed. Thank you.
