Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am going on a 10 day holiday to Spain and found that the dates overlap with when my period is due. I have been having periods for 5 months now (heavy and regular) I am 13 years old. If I were to go into my local gp would there be a chance of them prescribing me period delaying pills (norethisterone)?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Ajith J S's Response
It's better to not take period delaying pills if you already have heavy bleeding. It might cause breakthrough bleeding once you stop taking them. Anyways, if you are anxious about your periods you can start taking T. Primolut N two days before your periods start and continue till howmanysoever days you want it delayed. Take medications at your own risk though. Thank you.
