Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi iam a female and 33 years old i ahve been diagnosed with gastritis i was in pain for 3 months i am type one diabetic and on heamodialysis i take lanzoperazole renitidine and gaviscon 5 times a day i am still in pain nousia nad sickness what can i do
I have gone through your medical history carefully and I am sorry for your current health problems. Gastritis pain is sometimes unbearable even after taking the right medications as in your case (Lansoprazole, Ranitidine, and Gaviscon).
This is not enough. Changes in your diet should be made to regulate stomach hyperacidity and inflammation: • Avoid coffee, alcohol, spicy/chilly foods, tea, tomatoes, onions, garlic, high-fat foods • Try to reduce stress • Increase water intake • Ginger or peppermint tea can help reduce inflammation and gastritis pain
If still no improvement, should consult with your gastroenterologist further to reevaluate your case and treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Albana Sejdini
