General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Shingle is a viral infection that is characterized by painful blisters with rash and skin burning sensation. Once you acquire shingles, there is a low probability of getting the disease again. Treatment of shingles is mainly supportive, including pain killers and soothing agent with anti-histamines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
