How Can Pain In The Groin Area And Hips Be Treated?

I recently had my hip replaced, I had a bad biking accident. In the joint I was diagnosed with having Avascular Necrosis in the femur and ball joint. Now I am having the same pain and groin giving out in my other hip, is it likely that the Necrosis could affect my other hip joint as well?

Hello,

No, necrosis does not affect the other hip joint. Maybe since you are having pain in one hip the weight bearing is carried to the other hip and now because of overuse that is paining.

For this, we need to access your gait properly and see if you have any problems with it and try to straighten out your other leg or something and fix it.

So, it needs some examination which you can get it done with your doctors. But for now, you can take painkillers to minimize pain for few days, any painkiller available in the market.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
