How Can Pain In The Buttocks Be Treated?

I fell on my buttocks a week ago. I still have pain in the butt cheeks and it is difficult to walk, climb stairs, sit and lift things. The pain runs down the cheek into the back top of the thigh. Does this sound like just bruising or should I seek medical attention?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If your pain is not relieving even after 1 week then you need medical attention to see for any fracture that may have occurred due to trauma. Rest your limb, put ice on it,take analgesics for pain relief either topical or oral.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
