How Can Pain And Stiffness In The Knees And Joints Be Treated?

Is any doctor familiar with Zyto handscan technology? I had a naturopath run a scan and malaria came up. I have stiff joints and pain in my knees all the time, it wakes me up at night, so much pain makes me exhausted and tired. I had plantar facitis and tarpal release surgery done on my left foot May 12, 2016 and it got infected and hot like 2 days after surgery. I was treated with antibiotics and about three days later after antibiotics I woke up and could not hardly walk or straighten my legs. Doctors think it s related to the infection so I went on 14 days of amoxicillan and fluid retention pills but the pain and joint stiffness never went away, it s as bad as it ever was. Then I turned to my naturopath of the last 15 years and malaria is what he came up with. i am using oregano essential oil over my liver each evening. Any ideas? I do travel alot every winter I have been to the Dominican Republic Punta Cana in 2013, St. Thomas in 2014, Mexico 2015 and 2016. thanks, Shelly in Minnesota

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take Tramadol and Paracetamol combination, Omeprazole, apply Diclofenac spray at pain site.

Application of the warm water at the pain site would be helpful. Do yoga and pranayam in the morning. Try to meditate in the morning and also do exercise in the morning. Physiotherapy would also be helpful for you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
