How Can Pain And Pressure In The Shin Be Treated?

I was doing box jumps missed and hit my shin, I don t have a lot of bruising but its painful to walk and I have a lot of pressure feels like it is going to open up. when I hit it there was not much blood I got only a small cut with a little blood. its more the swelling and not able to walk that I am concerned about. my ankles are even swollen. compared to my other leg my shin and leg is way bigger than other side and very tight like its full of blood inside trying to just escape.

Hello,

Kindly get you an x-ray of leg done to know if there is any fracture because you say you have pain with swelling which goes more towards fracture. Usually, pain at the shin is more than any other area. So if there bleeding then it usually gets blackened out as there is no subcutaneous tissue. The intensity of the pain is also more. So kindly rule out fracture at the site. If there is no fracture then you can get treated symptomatically with analgesics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
