How Can Pain And Congestion In The Ear Be Treated?

I am a certified medical assistant and am trained in how to do an ear lavage. My ear is plugged and I tried to get the wax out with just a syringe, not a typical elephant syringe. My ear is still plugged and I cannot hear out of it. Any over the counter medications/drops recommended? I use to be prone to painful swimmers ear; however, I don t have pain just ear congestion and I was going to try to continue to flush it out with water but don t know if this could potentially make matters worse. Please advise. Thank you.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if it is the suspected ear wax condition then you need to see the ENT surgeon and do not try to take this out on your own and first it is better to confirm the wax condition hope this information helps.
