How Can Osteoarthritis With Knee Swelling Be Treated?

I have swelling and red colouring in the lower part of my leg. I am 55 years old and have Austria- Arthritis in my knee. I have a lot of pain in my leg at night and find it hard to get to sleep. I need to move a lot to find a spot that it dosn't pain.

Knee osteoarthritis is degenerative condition. In this cartilage is completely worned and it needs to roughening of surface, so that is the cause of pain. I would suggest you to following.
1.Static quadriceps exercises and weight reduction.
2. Avoid squatting and sitting cross leg.
3. Steroid injection in the knee joint give pain relief
4. Off and on pain killers can be taken but not always.
5. regular calcium and vitamin D3 to improve osteoporosis
6. Arthroscopy knee debridement gives pain relief
7. Knee replacement can be last but best choice.
