How Can Osteoarthritis And Degenerative Disc Disease Be Treated?

I have osteoarthritis throughout my whole body with degenerative disc disease in lumbar area , 8 bulging discs, grade 1 anterolisthesis. My GP has told me because of the DDD I m past surgery. I would like to know what am I to be expecting to be happening with my back in the future. I know there is no cure. Regards Carellen Ware YYYY@YYYY

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

As you stated there is no cure for osteoarthritis . Unfortunately, the discs may continue to degenerate and may cause abnormal alignment of the spine.

This may cause pressure on nerves coming out of the spinal cord resulting in nerve pain. Nerve pain can be burning, stinging, sharp, tingling etc
There are medications that help with nerve related pain.

Physiotherapy to strengthen the muscles of the core, may help.
