How Can Numbness And Pain In The Thumb Due To Stitches Be Treated?
I cut my thumb had to get 6 stitches on the underside 5 days ago. The top of my hand hurts and if I hit the tip I get a shocking pain and its numb and hard and tingly and gets cold, will this go away? How long til it heals? Unfortunately u realize how much you need your thumb when it hurts to use it.
Hi, I understood your situation and i can feel you pain also. You have undergone 6 stiches to your thumb so nerve sensation of that area has gone temporarily for few days. You will regain it in 10-15 days.So no need to worry. You have to apply Soframycin cream locally twice daily for 5-10days and take Tab.Amox-clav 1BD, Tab.Brufen 1BD and Tab omez 1OD for 5 days. After 10-15 days of complete healing of wound , you will definitely feel all sensations to the affected part. Thank you.
