Hello. My daughter is four years old. She had a tumor removed 5 weeks ago. We had the tumor tested for gistology in 2 labaratories and one place said it is a neuroblastoma, another- a pineablastoma. (We are in Ukraine.) It was in the area of pineal gland. Size aproximately 5*5*5 cm. (Estimated by surgeons after removal, MRI gave a slightly smaller size) Spinal cord liquid had no cancer cells in 2 weeks after the surgery. Is it possible that a neuroblastoma (not metastasis) was located in the pineal gland area?? The rest of the spinal cord, neck and stomach were checked through MRI and ultrasound. Everything is ok. Are these two types of tumors very much alike or very different? Will the following treatment be very different in these cases? Thank you for your time.
