How Can Muscle Spasms In The Left Leg Be Treated?

I ve just had surgery 3 days ago. It was for a ruptured disc and my left leg had no strength. Sciatic nerve was also compressed. I came out of surgery with almost no feeling in my left leg. But I have severe muscle spasms in the parts I can feel. Can you suggest a muscle relaxer? Robaxin makes me very sick even if taken with zofran, baclofen didn t help. The hospital pharmacy doesn t carry soma. Any suggestions?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may consider flexeril, also called cyclobenzaprine. It is a common muscle relaxant.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
