Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

These symptoms are verg often at your age, but must not be left untreated! Tendons naturally shorten over time, as we get older and this gives leg cramps. Also blood supply is restricted cause muscle mass lose with the age. I suggest you:

1. Have an active day, walk as far as you can
2. Drink at least 1.5 L of water every day
3. Eat lots of foods rich on calcium, potassium and magnesium. Cheese, spinach, bananas, all types of beans are very good.

Also check medication you use, some of them may lead to leg cramp.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
