How Can Mild Right-sided Pain In The Groin Be Treated?

I have had a mild pain in the right side of my groin area for nearly four years. In the last month the discomfort has increased, especially when I walk distances or lie down. The pain at night sometimes shoots down my leg. I also can feel it a bit in the back.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an inguinal hernia. I suggest you do a physical examination and also an ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis and take proper treatment.

If the diagnosis is confirmed surgery may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
