How Can Lymphatic Filariasis Be Treated?

Hi Sir, My mother has been suffering from lymphatic fileria for 28yrs. From two days she suffering from fever and weaknesses due to fileria attack . treatment is going on but still not recover.please suggest a proper treatment and what food will be better for her.

Lymphatic filariasis takes time for complete remission of the disease. The drug of choice is DEC. Continue DEC for four weeks. Fever is due to release of mediators. You can take paracetamol for fever. Consult a physician and he will direct you accordingly, continuous treatment is required for complete cure of the disease.
