How Can Lupus Along With Fibromyalgia And Rheumatoid Arthritis Be Treated?

I have been diagnosed with Lupus, Fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and beginning stages of MS. All from 5 different Dr s. I have been without Medicaid since January and ran out of my Lyrica since Mid February. Personally I think I have RSD. Been reading up on that disease and it lists all of the symptoms have. The swelling and burning in my joints and bones have steadily gotten worse. My friend gave me some cypobenzoprine 10MG tablets. I just need to know if these will help with my pain until I can see my Dr. Keep in mind I do not even take asprin. I just need something to keep me out of this bed! At present, no quality of life. In bed in pain 95 percent of the time.

Hello,

Cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxant. It works by blocking nerve impulses (or pain sensations) that are sent to your brain.

Cyclobenzaprine is used together with rest and physical therapy to treat skeletal muscle conditions such as pain or injury.

Your suffering from multiple connective tissue disorders. You may need a combined approach with treatment with NSAIDs, antimetabolite, immunomodulators, Immunosuppressants and physical therapy.

You may use the above drug if the musculoskeletal pain is there. If necessary use Naprosyn or indomethacin or ibuprofen, if you have pain, is uncontrolled.

Avoid if you have a peptic ulcer or kidney failure. Please consult your rheumatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
