General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. The treatment of anosmia depends on the cause. In case of sinus infection it can be treated by long term antibiotics. You should get her assessed by a Rhinologist who will examine her through an endoscope and may also advise an MRI and smell test. Some cases also respond to oral and nasal steroid applications. There are some surgical procedure s available depending on the diagnosis like septoplasty and ballon sinuplasty. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
