How Can Limbs Itching Due To Perspiration Be Treated?

My son has been advised to give up sports because whenever he perspires the folds of his limps itches. On a regular day his elbows and knees are dry and scaly, in the middle of the night while asleep he would scratch. He has used Physogel, cetalid, QV, Rosken, they all don t help. They mostly give him a sticky feeling and is especially uncomfortable as soon as he goes outdoor or perspires a little in this tropical weather.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It is intertrigo. Mostly occurs due to friction while sports activities. Perspiration due to exercise in fold area is major factor for the fungal infection which leads to itching.Kindly reduce the physical activities and sprinkle anti fungal powder like clotrimazole powder.

Wash the area with dettol mixed water. Take anti fungal tablet like Ketoconazole for few days. Improve hygiene and immunity.

I hope this would help you. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks,
