How Can Labial Skin Flaps On The Vagina Be Treated?

I have what seems to be a shallow tears or scrape on the inside of my labia on both sides of my vaginal opening. There seems to be flaps of skin which looks like it was scraped off. I have had them for about two weeks now. I first noticed them a couple of days after I had protected sex with my now ex boyfriend. For the two days after the sex I was fairly swollen and sore, which is very common for me as I tend to have issues with lubrication, and he is quite large. I also had a burning sensation during urination which quickly subsided. Now I assume these are tears, my only concern is that it has not healed and I have had no pain for the majority of the time. I had noticed something similar to this during the christmas break, and went into a clinic to see a physician. She told me that she wasn't worried about it. Am I right? or could this be something else?
