How Can Itchy Scabs In The Scalp Be Treated?

My son is 6 has been scratching his scalp like crazy last couple weeks he doesnt have lice or anything but there are whole bunch little scabs all over his scalp and he scratches so bad they bleed. Im thinking maybe mosquito bites or something? What can I use to ease the itch or get rid of them?

thank you for posting on HCM.
as per your history, itching scabs on scalp could be a fungal infection(tinea capitis) or seborrheic dermatitis, scalp psoriasis, pediculosis capitis.
-- diagnosis could be made only after seeing the lesions and examining the scalp.
-- as of now, you can give her tab levocetrizine half tab twice a day.
-- for fungal infection, oral and topical antifungals has to be started after consulting a dermatologist.

-- consult a dermatologist nearby for proper diagnosis and treatment accordingly.
