How Can Itchy Rashes On The Neck And Scalp Be Treated?

I have had a rash on my neck and in my scalp for several months. My Dr. prescribed Spironolactone 1 pill taken twice daily and to apply Clobetasol solution 1 or twice daily. The area has not improved and new bumps have appeared. They do not hurt, but they often itch....Do you have any suggestion...I don t have the time to take off work...Please advise

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dandruff (seborrheic dermatitis) is the most common cause of an itchy rash on the scalp in adults and tends to affect the whole scalp; psoriasis is another common cause of itchy scalp and is often found just on the back of the scalp.
TREATMENT
controlling dandruff : maintain good hygiene, wash regularly with antidandruff shampoo or ketaconazol shampoo
psoriasis : to confirm you should visit dermatologist and after tests if u confirmed with diagnosis then go for psoriasis treatment.
