How Can Itchy Rashes All Over The Body Be Treated?

A couple of week ago I started getting rashes on my legs and arms. I live on the 11th floor of a high rise in downtown SD. It looks like mosquito bites. I see mosquitos. We cannot put screens on the windows. I bought anti-hitch body soap and Calamite to spray. Some of the bites get very red since I can t avoid scratching. It hitches a lot. Now it s just the arms. Could it also be bed bugs? What to do?

Hi, thank you for using Healthcare Magic.

I understand your concern, but you don't have to be worry.
The most possible cause that can make this condition is urticaria. The pictures of this disease are:
1. Very itchy red rash sometimes accompanied by a pale color, with varying sizes and will increase in width when carded.
2. Burning and stinging.

It usually happens quickly, and with or without treatment will disappear within 24 hours, and then may recur. In severe conditions, this process can affect deeper skin tissue and mucous membranes, resulting in swelling of the lips, eyes, palms, soles of the feet, even shortness of breath and diarrhea.

Many people think Urticaria is always caused by allergies. This is not right. It is partly caused by an allergic mechanism, such as allergies to food, drugs, dust mites, animal dander, etc.

But without realizing it, there is actually some Urticaria is triggered by various other things. Some other possible causes are pressure, cholinergic (commonly present during sweating), solar (sunlight) or which are also often due to infections in our body, which may be overlooked such as ear nose throat infection.

Indeed, to treat urticaria, the doctor usually will give antihistamines. There is now a lot of antihistamines available in the market.

In principle, drinking medicine eliminates the symptoms that arise. But the best way is to overcome and eliminate the cause. If the cause is not resolved, usually the disease will appear again. When the disease occurs repeatedly, it is time for you to see a dermatologist to get a satisfactory solution.

Thank you.
