How Can Intrusive Thoughts Be Controlled?

I am 55yrs old, and all I hear in my head is you are doing to much, live in conn, live in the house that my wife grew up in, working a full time construction job, and my wife is working a full tiome job also, she makes more than I do but money is not the issue, cant get my head to slow down
