How Can Infected Sebaceous Cysts Be Treated?

HI I HAVE AN INFECTED SEBACEOUS CYSTS...A DERMATOLOGIST PRESCRIBED TETRACYCLINE AND DIDN'T WORK BRING DOWN INFECTION...I WAS ON IT FOR 5 DAYS...THE CYST STARTED OUZING SO I WENT TO ANOTHER DOCTOR AND THEY PRESCRIBED AMOXICILLIN.. MY QUESTION IS WHICH IS BETTER...TETRACYCLINE OR AMOXICILLIN

Here in your case, if the cyst is filled with some infected material (Pus) then it needs to be sent for culture sensitivity test for better selection of antibiotics. If this is a true infection, sebaceous cysts are seldom found to be infected or form an abscess. Excision of the cyst could be the best option. Instead of treating it medically, as an antibiotic may not be help. Your least concern should be any type of antibiotic.
