How Can Induced Labor During Pregnancy Be Avoided?

I am 39 weeks and 2 days pregnant dilated at 1cm and 80% thinned. My doctor said I will most likely be induced and that is the last thing I want! I ve tried all natural methods to induction at home. Do you know of anything I can do to avoid being induced?

Hi,

Based on the week's you have mentioned, it appears that you have achieved the term of your pregnancy. If the dilatation has started, that means the progress towards labor has begun. Induction is done to fasten the progress of labor, as delay in progress could cause fetal distress, which can be harmful for it. Once the labor process has started by means of dilatation, progress cannot be avoided.

Kindly follow the instructions what has been advised by your doctor and do the necessary follow-up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
