SGPT is an enzyme which is normally released from the liver cells. the increase in sgpt more than sgot and associated mid increase in alkaline phosphatase tells us that there is a problem with the liver. this could be an associated infection.
in case you are otherwise healthy and this is just a routinely done lab result.
you should avoid alcohol, reduce weight , check if you have diabetes, check if your lipid profile is normal.
