Greetings, Welcome to HealthCare magic. There are two important information that are needed for guidance in your case. First is what was the type of stroke you had last week. Was it an obstruction of a blood vessel or a leakage in the blood vessel in you brain. They both have difference in treatment. Secondly what is your present BP, with and without medication. Because that will define how much medication you require to reduce you BP to a desired level. Generally nowadays BP is not lowered aggressively in cases of stroke at least for the first few days. High blood pressure is usually considered a helping mechanism to keep the flow of blood in case there is obstruction in the brain vessels. Aprovasc is a good medication to lower the BP effectively but it is a strong medication because it contains 2 medication in one. Therefore it is very important to know the type of stroke and the BP level at the moment. As far as you age is concerned ,Pulse,gender and previous heart diseases will a also guide for other medications that are given in patients below the age of 55 years. As far as mx3 capsules are concerned it contains a fruit mangosteen which has not been researched too well to know exactly its positive and negative side effects. But one thing that has been mentioned in few places is its ability to reduce clotting of blood which can lead to bleeding from any where .
