How Can High Blood Pressure Be Treated?

My husband has high blood pressure usually when he goes to the doctors. I think he gets really nervous there as when he is home it tends to be much lower than in the low 200 s. I m hoping to find a plan that will help him at home for meals perhaps a weekly plan. He also now has a kidney problem too. Please help us with any suggestions and would greatly appreciate your input. He goes to the doctors at least once a week and he does have a blood pressure machine at home.
