How Can High Blood Pressure Be Treated?

Doctors have tried to control my blood pressure for years , it spikes high sometimes with a feeling i have told them feels like a shot of adrenalin . Stress seems to play arole in it. I have also been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes which spiked at an A1c of 8.4 but it also fluctuates . My doctor said today these are not related. My question is would I really benefit from going to an endocrinologist . This has been going on for 20+ years.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

You can consult physician or endocrinologist for your examination and further work up if needed

If your blood pressure can't Controlled by one drug than combination of two antihypertensive drug can be prescribed...

Also underlying any cause for hypertension if present has to be ruled out like endocrine disorder, Renal problem and heart problem etc....

Here endocrine disorder like pancreas affection had to be ruled out just to be sure that hypertension and diabetes is not from endocrine problem

For diabetes if you are not improving by oral drugs insulin might prescribed

You should avoid stress because stress related to both diabetes and hypertension

Yoga, meditation and exercise will be beneficial

Take care
