How Can Heavy Vaginal Bleeding Due To Uterine Fibroids Be Treated?

Hi there, Suffering fibroids( causing heavy bleeding for about 9 days before I got on Yaz, pressure on bladder)on Yaz for about 8 months, not happy as lots of spotting, last 2 months didn t take sugar pills as my GP suggested. Have been bleeding light for almost a month:-( would Implanon help with heavy bleeding or should avoid contraception at all! Thank u! Martina

Hi, I think you can try medical management for 6 months. But it also depends on your symptoms and the size of fibroid to decide upon the treatment method. If you have completed your family and you are not relieved by medical management, you can go for a hysterectomy. Discuss with your doctor regarding this.
