How Can Growth Hormone Deficiency Be Treated?

I am a 71 year old female with pituitary problems. I have growth hormone deficiency, am taking growth hormone for nine months. My IGF-1 level when I started was 72. It then went up to 130, and is now
down to 81.
Why when taking growth hormone daily have my levels gone down. Should I continue to take GH?
