How Can Gastric Problems Causing Severe Heart Burn Be Treated?

no matter what I eat turns into sever gas. I tried very bland food but same thing happens sever heart burn also. I am 67 I take no prescription medicine. I could have peptic ulcers cause almost everybody in my family had it. things are not improving.

Gas may be due to several reasons which include not chewing your food properly ,enzyme deficiencies , reduced acid secretion in the stomach .
not eating adequate fibre in diet and also eating certain type of foods and intolerance to certain foods like lactose.
to reduce your heart burn
cut down caffeine . do not skip meals , avoid smoking, Alcohol and carbonated drinks ,do not sleep within 3 hours of your dinner , reduce spicy and oily food.
When you eat or drink fast, you can swallow a lot of air, which can cause gas.So slow down when you eat.
keep a food diary and noting when you feel gassy. “If you find you’re gassy after eating a certain food, eliminate it from your diet and see if it helps,
It is better to have a endoscopy after consultation with a Gastroenterologist and with guidance from a dietitian you can streamline your diet.
