How Can Fungal Groin Infection Be Treated?

Hello Doc. I have a yeast infections on my groin. I have over the counter clotrimazole cream. It doesn't seem to be working very well. Last night I rubbed TCP on the affected area thinking it would kill the fungus. It hurt like hell for a few minutes. Am I right to do this and should I be concerned about my girlfriend because I haven't been with anybody else except her?. I know you'll say see your GP but the NHS Is overwhelmed and could take a fortnight for an appointment. Help please.
