How Can Frequently Changing BP Be Controlled?

My Mum's
BP is swinging the other day it was 228/102 and then she said it went down 100 between standing and sitting.
What could she do to help herself? She is 75 and average height and weight. Her doctor is trying to work out whats going on but with Christmas fast approaching I cant see much happening till the New Year. What could she do in the meantime?
PS Does this cost anything?

Dear sir

As per your query, it appears you are sufferring from postural hypertension. These wide range of swings in the blood pressure may case various discomfort.

Review your current medicines once. Look for associated disorders like diabetes and other conditions which causes autonomic neuropathy.

Thirdly to control blood pressure two or more drugs might be needed of different classes. Patient must be educated to counter hypotension.
Thanks
